We are Jessika and Ana from the IES Las Marinas and we are going to talk about the most famous foods of here, Spain!

Spanish potato omelette (Tortilla de patatas)

It is so popular all over Spain and often served in bars as a tapa and is eaten either hot or cold.

4 potatoes, peeled and sliced
6 eggs
1 onion, chopped
¼ litre olive oil

heat the oil in a frying pan.
peeled and sliced the potatoes .fry the sliced potatoes in a frying pan .Add the sliced onions into the frying pan and continue frying.Beat the eggs in a bowl and add the salt. Now you have to mixed the fry onions and potatoes with the beat eggs
After about 10 minutes turn the omolette by placyng either.
Other 10 minutes and retired it from the fire.

Rice with milk (Arroz con leche)

This is a very sweet dessert here in Spain all the people like it.



2 cups Short grain white rice.3 cups of Water.2 cups of milk.
2 teaspoons Salt.
1 stick Cinnamon, optional

Put rice and water into a pan and bring to the boil.
Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
Add salt, cinnamon and zest of limon.
Stir well with handle of a wooden spoon.
Cover pan and cook on low heat for another 10-15 minutes, when all the milk should be absorbed.
Remove cinnamon, cool slightly, then turn out on to a flat plate.


Paella is a typical Spanish dish and is traditionally cooked in a "paellera”
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 green pepper, finely chopped
½ red pepper, boiled until soft and then cut into long thin strips
